EU Democracy Hub is designed to explain public EU activity with as little personal-data collection as possible.

What we collect
When you browse the site, we use Plausible Analytics to understand basic usage such as page views and referrers. Plausible is intended to be privacy-friendly and does not use cross-site advertising profiles. We also collect page-level loading, interaction and layout-stability measurements without email addresses, full page queries or advertising identifiers. Browser “Do Not Track” is respected for these performance measurements.
When you subscribe to the weekly digest, we collect the email address you provide so we can send the newsletter.
Why we use it
Analytics helps us see which pages are useful and which parts of the project need improvement. Email addresses are used only to send EU Democracy Hub updates and service messages related to the newsletter.
Newsletter and unsubscribe
The weekly digest is sent through Resend. A subscription starts only after the confirmation link is clicked. Every production newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. Addresses that bounce, complain or are suppressed are automatically marked as unsubscribed when the provider reports the event.
Data sharing
We do not sell personal data. Newsletter delivery may require sharing your email address with the email service provider used to send the digest. Public EU source links may take you to third-party official websites with their own policies.
